President
Alex Potter
Alex Potter serves as ALCSI's President. Previously, Alex attended the University of California Berkeley, and graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering.

National Director
Alina Keshwani
Alina is the Intercollegiate Director of the Northeast Region chapters. She is a sophomore at the University of Michigan majoring in Biopsychology, Cognition, and Neuroscience. She is the co-founder and president of the U-M ALCSI chapter, where she has led efforts to connect community members around the state of Michigan with screening centers. Alina also co-leads the newsletter, competition, and social media initiatives on the National ALCSI team.

Alisha Keshwani
Alisha is the Intercollegiate Director of the Eastern Region chapters. She is a sophomore studying Biology, Health, and Society at the University of Michigan. Alisha first joined ALCSI in high school and has served as the co-founder and current co-president of the University of Michigan ALCSI chapter for the past 3 years. At U-M, Alisha has led initiatives including Lung Cancer Screening Day, events with the U-M Football Team, and more! Nationally, Alisha co-leads the ALCSI Newsletter Team and ALCSI Innovation Challenge, and she manages the ALCSI social media/website.

Director of Community Engagement
Cheryl McCloud
Previously, Cheryl served as the Community Engagement and Communications Manager for the New England Consortium of the All of Us Research Program. All of Us is a program funded by the National Institutes of Health to ensure everyone is included in health research. As a Boston University College of Communication graduate, Cheryl brings her experience in various industries, including healthcare, financial and consulting services, and start-ups to ALCSI.

Founder, Chair & Thoracic Surgeon
Chi-Fu Jeffrey Yang
Dr. Jeff Yang is ALCSI's founder and now serves as the chair for ALCSI. He is also a thoracic surgeon at Mass General Hospital and an Associate Professor of Surgery at Harvard Medical School.

Chief Medical Officer
Deepti Srinivasan
Deepti serves as the Chief Medical Officer for ALCSI. Deepti attended Tufts University for her undergraduate education and is now a medical student at Tufts University School of Medicine.

National Director
Diya Kar
Diya serves as the Intercollegiate Director of the Central region chapters. She recently graduated from UCLA as part of the Class of 2025 with a B.S. in Molecular, Cell, and Developmental Biology. Diya is the founder of the UCLA ALCSI chapter, where she served as the president for the past three years and has been involved in national initiatives. Through her leadership and involvement in ALCSI, she has developed a strong passion for cancer prevention and early detection measures. During her gap-year, Diya will be working on the National Liver Cancer Screening Trial at UT Southwestern.

Executive Director
Donna Tong
Donna started volunteering with ALCSI in 2022 as a University of Chicago undergraduate student. At UChicago, Donna founded and built the first Chicagoland ALCSI Chapter, connecting Chicago Southside residents to hospital systems such as UChicago and RUSH. In her role as Executive Director of ALCSI, Donna is responsible for setting and executing the strategic direction of the organization. Donna has acquired hands-on management experience from her collegiate career as a: senior resident assistant for a dorm of over 800 students, the vice president of her sorority, research team leader, and Healthcare Associate for The Blue Chips. Donna received her BA in Biological Sciences and Creative Writing from The University of Chicago.

Gianna Reyno
Gianna serves as the Intercollegiate Director of the West region chapters. Gianna is graduating from UCLA this year.

Joe Mitri
Joe serves as the Director of the International ALCSI chapters. He is currently a student at Boston University, and is the president of BU's ALCSI chapter.

Mahreen Chowdhury
Mahreen serves as the Intercollegiate Director for the South region chapters. Mahreen currently serves as the president of Georgia Tech's ALCSI chapter.

Chief Executive Officer
Priyanka Senthil
Priyanka serves as ALCSI's Chief Executive Officer. She completed her undergraduate education at Rice University in 2024.

National Director
Sania Choudhary
Sania serves as an Intercollegiate Director for international chapters. She is a junior at the University of California, Berkeley, where she is completing a major in Molecular and Cell Biology (with an emphasis in Medical Biology and Physiology), and a minor in journalism. Sania has been involved with ALCSI since Fall 2022, when she first joined the UC Berkeley chapter, which she has now been president of for one year. Nationally, she has helped lead the publications committee, international initiatives, and newsletter committees.

Shivaek Venkateswaran
Shivaek serves as the Intercollegiate Director for the Northeast region chapters. A student at the University of Pennsylvania studying Biology, Health Policy, and Statistics, he has been involved with ALCSI since 2021, spearheading international expansion and policy initiatives. He also leads a citywide coalition of ALCSI chapters across Philadelphia to promote lung cancer screening efforts. Through his leadership, Shivaek has developed a strong passion for leveraging preventative medicine to combat chronic disease and drive health equity.

Timothy Hwang
Timothy leads ALCSI's Intercollegiate Operations. Timothy graduated from Vanderbilt University last year.
